Inventory and valuation of property of Mrs. Bernard Shaw, 1908.

Typescript carbon of "Copy of inventory & valuation of furniture, fixtures, fittings, linen, china and glass, ornamental items, bronzes, statuary, silver, electro plate, books, pictures and house equipment at 10, Adelphi Terrace W.C.; the property of Mrs. Bernard Shaw, taken for the purposes of fire insurance, March 1908." Required. Appriser's embossed ink stamp at tail of each page, signed at the end by the appraiser in ink: "Gillows." Bound in full-grained dark green calf with marbled end papers. Shaw's address gilt-stamped on upper cover. With the exception of the contents of the couple's wardrobe, nearly everything in the Shaw household is listed in this document through May 1908. Of special interest to researchers is the listing of Shaw's library and art collection.
